WELCOME TO BAMABEL ROTTWEILERS

Bamabel is a small hobby kennel situated in Somerset.   Our names are Alison & Stuart and we share our home with four wonderful rottweilers, Billy, Daphne, Maggie & Wilma. They enjoy long walks on the Somerset levels which stretch for miles.

I was first introduced to the breed in the late eighties, when I adopted a previously badly treated rottweiler called Zora from a local rescue centre.
Zora was the ideal dog, perfect in everyway (in our eyes anyway). Sadly she passed away at 12 years old. While I had Zora I met my partner Stuart, we both found she had left a big void in our lives.

We were smitten with this intelligent breed, we couldn't live without a rottweiler. In 1998 we bought our first pedigree rott, Foxpride Black Star (Ebony). With the encouragement from Ebony's breeders we started showing her. Ebony wasn't keen and got bored easily, but we had caught the showing bug. So along came our first male Foxpride Blue Flame (Max), who had some success in the show ring qualifing for Crufts.

Our special thanks goes to Schutzer Vyschinsky (Sky) who let us know what it feels like to win a Challenge certificate, Best of Breed and Group 3 at a championship show all in one day, a day we will treasure forever. We lost Sky in 2010, she was so special to us in every way and will be forever in our hearts.

We are currently campaigning Hanbar Maggie and Bamabel Sky's the Limit, win or lose we have a great day out with our dogs and have met many new friends. We only breed occasionally when we want to keep a puppy ourselves. We bred our first litter in 2001 and our second litter in 2006. We are now officially a KC Accredited Breeder, all our dogs we breed from have been hip & elbow scored through the BVA scheme and have excellent temperaments.
